Meet Our Pastor
Pastor
Paul A. Adams, Sr.
“Give and it Shall be given unto you. For whatever measure you deal out to others, it will be dealt out to you in return.”
As our world changes rapidly, it affects nearly every facet of our lives. In the midst of it all, voices continue to cry in the wilderness for more changes to occur. Yet in these times, God has singled out a servant who is a Christian Educator, Motivator, and who seeks to be an agent of change, Pastor Paul A. Adams, Sr. A man literally after God’s own heart, Pastor Adams is a catalyst for positive change through his dedication to teaching the scriptures. The son of James and Helen Walker, and the late Paul L. Adams, fifth eldest of six children. Educated in both the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Philadelphia and the Chester Upland School District, he matriculated to Widener University during his senior year of high school and excelled in accelerated math and engineering courses. A proud graduate of the Chester High’s class of 1982, he attended DeVry University and the Ohio State University and received his associate’s degree while pursuing his BSEET. He also joined the United States Army ROTC program, where he was branched to the Signal Corps.
Pastor Adams later matriculated to Wilmington University, where he received many honors such as the Dean’s list, inducted into the chapters of Delta Epsilon Rho Academic Honor Society, Sigma Beta Delta, and the International Honor Society in Business Management and Administration. He graduated Cum Laude and earned his bachelor’s degree in Business Administration. In 2017, Pastor Adams received his Masters in Pastoral Care & Counseling, with a minor in Pastoral Ministry from Ohio Christian University. He is currently working on his Doctorate of Education degree in Educational Leadership and a minor in Community Care and Counseling/Pastoral Counseling at Liberty University in Lynchburg, Virginia.
Pastor Adams surrendered his will to the Lord and accepted the call to the ministry at an early age, while attending Zion Hill Baptist of Philadelphia, PA. He later joined Providence Baptist Church in Chester, PA, and was licensed to preach by the late Pastor Joel B. McGee, while serving as his associate minister. Under the tutelage of Pastor Edward C. Lilly, Paul joined the White Rock Christian Church family where he was later ordained and served as an associate minister, adjunct member of the board of directors, the overseer of the Prison Ministry and spiritual advisor for various ministries.
In 2013, Pastor Adams founded Cornerstone Christian Ministries, where he serves as Senior Pastor. Since its inception, this ministry has continued to grow as he preaches the Gospel of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ along with sharing the vision that has been revealed to him for the People of God. He is an anointed servant of God, who has been chosen as a paradigm leader for this new millennium.
Pastor Adams has continued to serve the communities as a coach and advisor of the Chester East Little League, the Chester PAL Football Program, and the New Castle County Football League. He is a preacher in the city of Chester that has given his support and time to its many endeavors such as anti-violence and community activist programs.
He is the proud father of three sons, Paul Jr., Cedric, and Shaquile; three grandchildren and one daughter-in-law.
